Leigh-Anne Brings Caribbean Heat on “Friends” with Rvssian

By Alex HarrisNovember 22, 2025

Leigh-Anne continues her solo journey with “Friends,” released 21st November, a vibrant collaboration with Jamaican super-producer Rvssian that proves her ability to jump between genres feels completely natural.

The former Little Mix member sounds right at home on this dancehall-pop hybrid, built on the iconic Gogo Riddim that gives the track its infectious bounce.

Written by Grammy-winning songwriter Theron Thomas (Beyoncé, Rihanna, Doja Cat), the song tackles themes of loyalty and self-preservation.

Leigh-Anne examines the difference between genuine friendships and surface-level connections, though the message occasionally loses impact through repetition.

She describes the track as capturing “that sweet spot where pop and bashment blend perfectly,” and she’s not wrong.

The accompanying video, directed by DIFTY, matches the song’s energy with bold, colourful visuals that nod to Caribbean culture.

Leigh-Anne explained the track reminds her of carefree drives into London with friends, celebrating “the people who truly show up for you” whilst learning to identify those who don’t.

“Friends” marks the fourth single from her debut album “My Ego Told Me To,” arriving 20th February 2026 via Virgin Music.

The 15-track project blends pop, R&B, dancehall and reggae, with Leigh-Anne and Rvssian reuniting for a second collaboration on the record.
